Consignment & Pre-Owned Secondary Product Policies
Consignment:
East Coast Curations (“ECC”) is now offering consignment of select products. If interested in consigning a product with ECC, you must submit a consignment inquiry to ECC. The pieces selected to be consigned are chosen on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of ECC. When submitting a consignment inquiry with ECC, the following factors are considered, but are not limited to the following:
- Artist who created the product;
- Quality of product;
- Condition of product;
- Current market trends/demand for product; and
- Current inventory status.
If selected to consign with ECC (consignee), the individual submitting the product (consignor) must execute an agreement and waiver with ECC, acknowledging the terms and conditions of the consignment transaction. Upon approval of your consignment inquiry, ECC will send out an acceptance email providing the additional steps that are required to facilitate the transaction.
To inquire about selling a product with ECC, please contact eastcoastcurations@gmail.com with the subject line made out as follows: “Consignment inquiry” to ensure your inquiry is received and processed.
Inquiry submissions must include the following:
- Artist name who created product;
- Description of the product. Consignor must specify the quality and condition of the product; and any and all flaws, imperfections, and/or repairs, must disclosed;
- 3+ pictures of the product showing the entire product (*Please take the photographs in a well-lit area, and do not put any filters on the photographs to ensure the coloring of the product is accurately represented* Note: Additional photographs may be requested to process the consignment inquiry); and
- Any additional information that would be relevant to ECC while we review your consignment inquiry submission.
Resale of previously owned functional and non-functional art-products (“Secondary Products”):
East Coast Curations (“ECC”) has expanded and will receive products from additional sources. How do the Secondary Products differ from the Consignment Products? The products considered “Secondary Products” are products that are purchased outright by ECC for the purpose of resale. To distinguish consignment occurs when ECC assists and facilitates the sale of a product that is owned by another, for a fee.
Examples of a Secondary Product includes but is not limited to: a product that has had a prior owner (i.e. an artist or a consumer); a product that may not come directly from a wholesale distributor; a product that has been used. Secondary Products with a prior owner will be categorized based on its condition, which may be one of the following” “new”, “like new”, “good”, or “fair”.
Definitions Describing Product Condition for Consigned and Secondary Products:
- New: Unopened packaging, unused
- Like New: New or used, no signs of wear
- Good: Gently used with signs of wear, with or without one or two minor flaws
- Fair: Extensively used with or without multiple flaws/defects
All consignment and secondary products will be identified and distinguished from our “new” inventory, which are products that are coming directly from the artists and/or wholesale retailers.
*Those interested in consignment or selling a product to ECC outright are subject to approval by ECC and must execute an agreement outlining the terms of the transaction.*
